Eight by eight centimetres, gently raised wavy edges, with a hand-painted five-petal blossom in the centre and a small embossed quatrefoil mark in the corner. Useful for jewellery, salt, a teabag, an espresso saucer, or simply as a wall piece. The painting is done freehand on the bisque before the second firing - every blossom is slightly different.

is unlike anything else.

Most ceramics on a shelf today were stamped from moulds in factories - same shape, same weight, same surface. This one was made by hand in Piran, glazed by hand with colour sourced locally, and fired in a single small kiln by the Adriatic.
